St. Mary’ Summer BLOOD DRIVE
Monday, July 31st, 2017
St. Mary’s Parish Center
from 3-7

L F R I ~

There are two (2) more LFRI runs in the month of July.

The runs are on Sat, July 29th and again on Sun, July 30th.
WE NEED YOUR HELP! If you are able to participate in any or all of the July runs,

please contact myself or Bill Sweeney wds27j@gmail.com.

Thank you so much to all who have generously donated items to the Loaves and Fishes ministry. Your kindness is very much appreciated by many who would otherwise have to do without. July will be a busy month with three truck runs, so our supplies will be greatly depleted. Travel size toiletries (especially shampoo and deodorant) are always in short supply. Back-packs are very useful to folks who live on the streets as are towels for shower time at shelters.

A variety of summer clothing items are needed now including belts, ball caps, sneakers, men’s and women’s shorts, XL and XXL tee shirts for men or women, and women’s tops in all sizes. Women’s socks and new underwear in all sizes as well as men’s summer socks are in constant demand. Jeans for men and women are popular year round. Please bring your donated items to the rectory during normal hours.

No clothing to share? No problem. We distribute food and other items in plastic grocery bags, so please recycle those bags you have through Loaves and Fishes. We use them constantly.
New volunteers are always welcome either to prepare food before runs or to help distribute items to the folks we serve.

If you know of a person who is going through an illness or time of need, and
feel a prayer shawl would lift their spirits, stop by the rectory and make a
request. Lap shawls, shoulder wrap shawls, and adult and child shawl
blankets are all being worked on through our prayer shawl ministry.
