St. Mary Catholic Church of Bristol will present a program series called Access to Experts. This series of talks, by experts in their field, will be presented at St. Mary’s Church Hall on Monday evenings from 7-9PM and all are invited to attend this free series.

Our first talk will be on September 25, 2017 at 7PM. David Bettencourt, R.PH. will address a very vital topic of caring for elderly parents and keeping the caregivers healthy.

September 25, 2017-

Speaker: David Bettencourt, Registered Pharmacist (R.PH.) As adult children of any age, mostly baby boomers, we find ourselves taking care of or managing aging parents. We have become trailblazers in managing longevity. How did this happen and what are we learning from our collective life-journey?

During this presentation Mr. Bettencourt will take you on a journey describing the medical advances that have occurred during OUR lifetime and how they have produced today’s longevity. Most importantly, Mr. Bettencourt will present options and solutions to the challenges facing adult chil-dren and parents alike. Included will be medical manage-ment, maintaining independence with dignity, and mini-mizing frustration and anger with knowledge.

As a baby boomer, community pharmacist, and overseeing the care of his ninety-three year old mother, Mr. Betten-court brings both professional and personal knowledge to make our first “Access To Experts” program beneficial to a broad spectrum of Bristol’s community.
